Preparation The Procedure Follow-Up

Types of Scanners

The type of scan you have may determine which scanner will be used for the procedure. Depending on the area to be scanned, history, and symptoms, you may be encouraged to have your study on a "high-field" scanner.

We also have the region's first truly high field open MRI scanner capable of performing a variety of MRI studies. This scanner provides a comfortable environment for our claustrophobic or larger patients.

Our friendly and experienced schedulers will determine which scanner best provides the quality pictures needed to diagnose and treat your illness.

"High-Field" Scanner
This is a picture of our "high-field" scanner. All of our "high-field" scanners are the same, wider in the middle with flared ends.
"High-Field Open" Scanner
Our "high-field open" scanner offers an open environment with patient comfort and image quality never available before in Northern Wisconsin.
